Warhammer 40'000 - Combat Patrol: Tyranid Assault Brood 73-511
Tyranids can take a terrifying variety of forms, each more terrifying than the last. Small disruptive forces have been observed, led by a so-called parasite of Mortrex. These forces are protected by thickly armored Tyrant guards and supported by walking artillery called Biovores, which fire living spore mines across the battlefield. Perhaps the most dangerous element are the aggressive and stealthy Genestealers, which charge forward, tearing and slashing with their razor-sharp claws.
If you're looking to devour all the biomass in the galaxy, this boxed set is the perfect way to start a new Tyranid collection—or expand an existing army—and save money compared to buying the kits individually. The force is led by a nightmarish parasite of Mortrex that infects its prey with a barbed ovipositor. Three Tyrant Guards can tear through the toughest foes, while Genestealers scamper forward to dispatch any surviving foes. Finally, a Biovore provides long-range support. These 18 plastic miniatures represent a complete Tyranid assault squad for use in thrilling, tactical Warhammer 40,000 Battle Patrol games—the rules for this Battle Patrol are available as a free download from the Warhammer Community website.
From this set you can build 18 plastic Tyranid miniatures:
– 1x Parasite from Mortrex
– 3x Tyrant Guards (which can alternatively be built as Swarm Guards)
– 1x Biovore (which can alternatively be built as a Pyrovore)
– 3x Spore Mines
– 10x Symbionts
The miniatures in this box are easy to customize. The Symbionts have various head options, and the Biovore can alternatively be built as a flame-breathing Pyrovore.
The Tyrant Guard can be built with scissor claws, scythe claws, or a bone sword and tentacle whip. The heads, bodies, tails, legs, arms, and weapons are interchangeable among the miniatures, allowing you to express your inner hive mind when assembling them. They can alternatively be built as Hive Guards armed with a harpoon cannon or shock cannon.
The kit contains 260 plastic components, 1x Citadel 80mm Round Base, 1x Citadel 40mm Round Base, 1x Citadel 25mm Round Base, 3x Citadel 50mm Round Bases and 10x Citadel 32mm Round Bases.
These miniatures require assembly and are unpainted – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Adhesive and Citadel Colour paints.
