Warhammer - Citadel Colour: Base Dryad Bark 21-23
Base colors are developed for the first, opaque layer of paint on miniatures and offer a high pigment density as well as strong adhesion. Dryad Bark is ideal for very dark, earthy brown and wood tones and is particularly suitable for leather, wood, fur, fabrics, armor, as well as natural or weathered surfaces. The paint covers reliably and forms an even foundation for further layer and shade steps.
Base paints can be applied evenly and provide a clean, stable color base on which highlights and shading come into their own. Dryad Bark is excellent as a base color for dark natural tones, tree bark, leather details, or realistic bases.
For optimal results, it is recommended to slightly thin the paint and apply it in one to two even layers. This creates a smooth, opaque base without losing fine details.
