Warhammer - Citadel Colour: Contrast Ratling Grime 29-46
Contrast colours combine the flow properties of a Shade paint with the colour density and adhesion of a Layer paint. With these paints, various areas of a miniature can be painted effortlessly to achieve strong contrasts and realistic effects. Ratling Grime is ideal for dark, dirty grey and brown tones, and is particularly well suited for metal, leather, fabrics, weapons, as well as grimdark or weathered colour schemes.
Contrast Paints function as basecoat and shading in one step. The paint settles in recesses and automatically creates deep, dirty shadows, while raised areas remain lighter. Ratling Grime provides a realistic, slightly oily look with natural depth.
For optimal results, we recommend light base colours and the use of the primers Wraithbone, White Scar or Grey Seer to fully utilise the excellent flow and contrast properties of Contrast Paints.
